Members of the SVP ensure that the housebound, elderly and sick members of our community receive regular visits and are kept informed and involved in the life of the parish.
The SVP is always on hand to help and advise any parishioner in times of difficulty, providing a discreet and sympathetic ear.
Any parishioner wishing to join these unsung heroes and heroines in the work they do will be made very welcome.

Established in 1984 our group supports people and communities around the world who live in poverty and with injustice.
We provide opportunities for the parish to act in solidarity with them - through prayer, awareness raising, campaigning and fundraising.
Over the years we’ve organised such activities as musical evenings, quiz nights, sponsored walks, petition signing, themed masses, prayer vigils, a children’s CAFOD group, and take part in every Lent and Harvest Fast Day Appeal and annual CAFOD campaign action.
Thanks for all your support over the years - we look forward to seeing you at our events - and welcome all to join the team as we try to help those in need around the world.
